How do I record my working hours?
In the following article, you as an employee will learn how to record your working times on your desktop or mobile device.

1. Starting working time
Stamping online
Log in to your HR WORKS account as an user on your desktop, smartphone or tablet. You will then find the "Clock in" button in the top right-hand corner. Successful stamping is confirmed with a green message box.

This automatically starts the recording of working times for the current day. To stop the current working time again (e.g. during the lunch break), select the same button, which in the meantime counts up the clocked-in working time.
2. Viewing and editing working hours
To view your recorded working times, open the menu “Time management/Working hours”. Here you will see an overview of the past, current and future working weeks with the respective planned working time. To do this, open the corresponding calendar week.
Click on the information symbol to view the actual working time calculation for the day. Among other things, you can see how the time clocked in and clocked out affects the break and working time calculation. Manually recorded breaks are hours that you have clocked out yourself between two working times. Automatic breaks are based on stored break rules, which round up manual breaks if necessary. The exact breakdown/calculation depends on the administrator's system settings.
If you are allowed to edit your working times for a certain period of time, you will receive an additional plus symbol for the respective day, which is used to create new working times. You can find out how to add unstamped working times and edit existing working times here.
Note: If you also want days without planned working hours to be shown, activate the checkbox "Show days with 0 target working hours" in the monthly overview.
By clicking on the three-dot menu at the top right, you can call up detailed information, such as your PIN for stamping (when stamping via terminal), or protocols and reports.
3. Viewing time account
The menu “Time management/Time account” provides you a complete overview of all working times, grouped by month. The difference between planned working time (from your work schedule) and actual working time is also shown as the monthly balance. Further details on the calculation in the time account can be found here.
If you should have hours credited or deducted for various reasons, you can apply for a time correction. You can find out how this works here.
Note: The German time zone is always used for time recording.
