Dashboard
In your dashboard you can overview all available features. Within the individual dashboard panels, you will be notified of upcoming appointments and open tasks.
In addition to the overall dashboard, each area also has a so-called “feature dashboard” in which the individual functions are listed.

Pro tip: Use the ⋮-menu
Missing an option? In order to focus on the most frequently used actions, some of the less used ones are now found in the ⋮-menu (or “further options-menu”), which is usually located in the upper right corner.

Browser tabs and bookmarks
In the new interface, HRworks pages have their own URLs. This allows you to work actively in several browser tabs at the same time and to bookmark frequently used functions in your browser for easy access.

Fixed menu
No matter where you are in the new interface, some general functions are fixed in the header of the interface and are always available for you.
My to-do's
In the menu fixed at the top of the screen you will find all your personal and system created tasks. Via “Create task” you can create a new task from within any feature. Afterwards you will be redirected back to the previously used page.

Company overview
In the company overview, which is also located in the menu fixed at the top, you can access the telephone directory and your internal contact persons, as well as the messages and the various company calendars.

Profile settings
Click on your profile picture at the top right to adjust settings for HRworks and your notifications, as well as to view your master data under “My Profile”. You also have the option to send us feedback to improve HRworks and to log off.

In the time management panel, you can see the working time recorded for the current day, an overview of your vacation account, as well as information on open and upcoming absences, home office or remote work, substitutions and more.

Create new: Home office, absence, sickness notifications & working time
Using the buttons at the bottom of the dashboard panel, you can directly submit a new home office or remote work request, apply for vacation as well as submit a sickness notification.
Record working hours
By clicking on the “clock in” or “clock out” button that is always accessible in the header on desktop or found within the time management panel on smaller and mobile devices, you can easily record your working times. If you can specify a working time type or record times for projects, a short selection window will open to give you these options.

Your open travel authorization requests and travel expense reports are summarized in the travel management panel. For the latter, you can see on the panel which amount you will be reimbursed after the check. You can also see whether there are receipts or digital receipts ready for assignment to travel expense reports.
If you have started entering an expense report or authorization request but have not yet completed it, you will also be informed directly.

Create new: Travel Authorization Request, Travel Expense Report, Expense report & Daily travel expense reports
The buttons at the bottom of the panel let you quickly create requests and expense reports. If you are required to request trips, you can jump directly from the dashboard to a new request this way. The same applies to (travel) expense reports.
Here you can see directly when your next performance review is due, whether the confirmation of compliance management documents is pending or if there are files in your document pool.

The Wage and Salary panel gives you access to your monthly paychecks and related documents. In addition, you can see how many meal grants you have submitted in the current month.

Create new: Meal grants
The button at the bottom allows you to directly enter new meal receipts and upload a matching photo to be checked.
If you have only been using HRworks either as a mobile or desktop solution up to now, the User-Interface will make switching between devices easier for you, thanks to a uniform design and uniform workflows.
Add HRworks to your home screen
Open HRworks in your browser to add it to your homescreen to easily log in and access all your information from there.
If you are using an Android device, first tap on the ⋮ menu at the top right of your browser.
In Chrome, you will then be offered the option “Add to home screen”.
In Firefox, you can reach this option via “Add page/page link”.

If you use an iOS device, first tap the “share button” in the bottom center of your browser. On Apple devices, this only works with Safari.

Then click “Go to Home Screen” to have the HRworks icon available directly on the Home screen.

If you are an executive or approve absences and travel expense reports for other people, here is an overview of the other functions available to you as a manager:
