FAQ: FLOW - User interface for employee and superior functions

On 23th of January 2023, you will find all the functions you need as an employee or supervisor only in FLOW, the user interface. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about this changeover.

HRworks takes the next step with the comprehensvie introduction of the FLOW interface for employee- and superior-functions, creating a modern user experience: Thanks to the user feedback, the FLOW interface was further optimized. Therefore the time has come for changing FLOW as standard interface for employees and superiors. 

Another advantage of the FLOW changeover: Our admin-area is separated more clearly from the employee- and superior-area, so both areas can be better adapted to their requests.  

What is the difference between FLOW and the classic (Administrator-) interface? 

HRworks uses two interfaces for the different needs of employees/superiors and administrators.

In FLOW, we focus on optimized readability, simplicity in user guidance and also quick entry points, e.g. to record times, submit vacation or travel expenses. The most important data and facts are directly visible and, with a few exceptions, can also be accessed on mobile devices.

The classic interface is for administrators only. Here, even complex settings and a large amount of data must be available directly in the interface and be compactly visible. The classic interface is only available on desktop surfaces.

What changes for administrators?

Administrators still use the classic interface for their assigned admin roles. Their own employee- and/or superior-menu will be available in the FLOW interface. Therefore, administrators have to change in the FLOW interface for using their own employee functions. The employee-menu in the classic interface won´t be available from the 23th of January 2023.

What are the advantages of FLOW - the user interface? 

In FLOW, employee and superior functions are in the focus. 

Interactive tours introduce you to these functions. Both the general and the function-specific dashboards not only show you the most important facts and tasks at a glance, they also allow you to quickly get started recording, for example, vacation application or registering travel expenses.

If you use a function frequently, you can only set bookmarks in your browser in FLOW to get started directly.

In addition, the user interface is also available to you on the go and can easily be added to your smartphone home screen.

Mobile availability allows you to capture your digital receipts for your travels at any time. For this, use the efficient OCR receipt recognition, which is exclusively accessible via the FLOW interface.

What assistance is available for getting started with FLOW? 

To enable a smooth start in FLOW, a number of interactive tours are available to give you an overview of the user interface in general, but also guidance on specific functions.

Is the same data available in the FLOW interface as in the classic interface? 

The FLOW user interface displays the same scope in the area of employee and supervisor functions and refers to the same data basis as the classic interface. 

In FLOW you will find everything except the administrator functions as well as the posts release, which offers the same editing options as the job administration.

How to reach the administrator functions? 

As an administrator, you will also have the option to switch to the classic interface (in the future "admin interface") to perform your tasks there.
